Sign Up for Recurring Credit Card (Auto-Pay)

The city is updating the Recurring Credit Card program used to automatically pay your City of San Marcos Utility Bill. This upgrade is being implemented to enhance your online payment experience. Each customer will need to update their information in the new Recurring Credit Card program.

Utility Billing Payment Online Payment Access


First Time Users


  1. Access the Payment Portal.
  2. Select 'Register Now' Link on the right side of the web page.
  3. Enter all information and click 'Enroll'.
  4. Click the button to 'Add Account' to your login. Enter your 10 digit account number without dashes (e.g. 001-23456789-12 enter as 2345678912), check the box to agree to the terms and conditions and click 'Add Account'.
  5. Click the 'Auto Pay' button and then 'Add Schedule' to set up recurring payment schedule.
  6. Click 'Add New' in the Payment Method section to enter a new credit card, debit card or e-check information and click 'Continue'.
  7. Select payment frequency and enter any additional information required. You can also select an optional end date for the schedule. To finish the payment schedule setup, click 'Confirm Schedule'.

Forgot Your Password


  1. Access the Payment Portal.
  2. Click Link for 'Forgot your password?'
  3. Enter email address associated with Payment Portal and click 'Continue'.
  4. Answer security questions and click 'Reset Password'.
  5. You will receive an email with a temporary password and instructions on how to reset your password.
