The Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) addresses the needs of the San Marcos community and makes our community more resilient and sustainable. In order to create a plan and implement projects that meet those goals the City needs input from the community through every step of the CDBG-DR process.
The City of San Marcos wants to ensure that flood survivors, community stakeholders and concerned citizens have opportunities to review plan and policies and provide feedback. The City uses a variety of outreach methods to engage and collaborate with the community on this program, from public meetings and hearings to social media, websites, videos, surveys and in person contact.
Partnerships and input from disaster recovery organizations, social service and community organizations are also essential to the success of the program. We encourage local community groups to engage, participate and provide input throughout the process.
