Fire Inspections

Fire Marshal inspectors work closely with contractors, building owners, property managers and architects to ensure buildings are compliant with fire codes and ordinances. Fire inspections are done on new construction and existing buildings.

New construction and annual licensed facilities are required to have a permit and inspections are requested through MyPermitNow, For a new construction permit, email the City of San Marcos Permit Center or call (512) 805-2630.

To report a fire concern, email the Fire Marshal's Office.

San Marcos Fire Marshals office works with The Compliance Engine Brycer to track inspection compliance and reduce false alarm activity. Third-party contractors who inspect, test and maintain fire protection systems will submit reports directly to The Compliance Engine
