McKie & Lee Street Waterline Replacement

Project Details

The City of San Marcos Public Service Transportation Department is planning road mill and overlay work in the project area in 2017. In advance of this road work, the City of San Marcos Water Department is planning to upgrade the 2-inch water lines along McKie Street and Lee Street to provide additional capacity to homes and businesses in the area.

Upgrades

Approximately 1,150 linear feet of 2-inch water main will be upgraded to a 12-inch water main along McKie Street from Cheatham Street to Love Street. Approximately 820 linear feet of 2-inch water main will be upgraded to an 8-inch water main along Lee Street from Guadalupe Street to McKie Street.

Approximately 205 linear feet of 2-inch water main will also be installed along Love Street to pick up a new meter box. Other City projects are planned in the area including Mill and Overlay work, which will overlap much of the project area, sanitary sewer replacement east of McKie Street, and a Reclaimed Water Reuse System Expansion project to the south and east.
