    Adult Pickleball open play is offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the San Marcos Activity Center! Pickleball is free for Activity Center members. Nonmembers will be charged the daily use rate of $3.25 for residents and $4.25 for nonresidents. Paddles and balls are available for those who do not have their own. If you would like to learn more about the sport, you are welcome to attend a session to observe and give it a try, free of charge. For more information, call (512) 393-8275.

  2. 50+ Duplicate Bridge

    The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation has partnered with the Texas Capital Bridge Association to offer Duplicate Bridge every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center. The San Marcos club is a member of the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), which has over 167,000 members who play duplicated bridge in 3200 clubs across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Don’t leave without creating colorful and fabulous tissue paper flowers and papel picado to decorate the library and to take home with you.     The parade line-up starts at the corner of CM Allen and Cheatham Street and offers plenty of viewing options along the route. The fun continues at the Mermaid Aqua Faire immediately following the parade at the San Marcos Main Park Plaza from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. All within walking distance from downtown, the family can enjoy this FREE community festival of art, live music, food, and fun!   1. San Marcos Neighborhood All-Star Games (SNAG)

    Join us for good, old-fashioned field day fun neighborhood vs neighborhood style! The San Marcos Neighborhood All-Star Games (SNAG) was established in 2012. After a brief hiatus, we are bringing it back on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 9am to 1pm at Rio Vista Park! Games include sack race, tug-o-war, corn hole, putt putt golf, dominoes, giant connect four, giant checkers, pie eating, and various relays. $25 entry fee per team. Teams are made up of people that live in your neighborhood. There must be a minimum of 8 people per team with a minimum of 2 children under 12 and one adult over 65. More than one team is allowed per neighborhood but participants are only allowed to be on one team. After all the friendly competition, we will have an awards ceremony and lunch.
