The City of San Marcos receives approximately $600,000 per year in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) federal funds. Every five years, City Council chooses the top priority categories for these funds through the Consolidated Plan process. From 2015-2019, High Priorities have been Affordable Housing; Public Facilities, Infrastructure, and Transportation; Clearance Activities; Public Services; and Program Administration.
What should be the priorities for the next five years? Here’s how you can share your ideas:
- Attend the public meeting Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 East Hopkins St., to discuss the CDBG program and community needs
- Complete the short, on-line survey found at www.sanmarcostx.gov/cdbg between February 2-23, 2020
Please feel free to pass this along to anyone who works or lives in San Marcos!
