The San Marcos City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission will be participating in a virtual, Joint Workshop to discuss downtown design on Thursday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held virtually on Zoom. A link to join the meeting will be posted at www.sanmarcostx.gov/downtowndesign. The public can also watch the meeting televised live on Spectrum Ch.10 and Grande Ch.16 or 123-16 and video streamed online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/421/City-Council-Videos-Archives.
The public is encouraged to send any questions during the meeting to planninginfo@sanmarcostx.gov. Questions will be compiled and addressed following the meeting and will be posted on the project website.
Initial outreach efforts for this project have included three stakeholder meetings in mid-April which were held virtually. Click here to learn more about the big ideas from those meetings. A Kickoff Survey was also conducted in May to allow the community to weigh in on the process during the initial kickoff phase.

About the Update to the Downtown Design Standards and Guidelines: In January 2020, the City of San Marcos City Council provided direction to update the design standards and guidelines for downtown. The update is intended to include new standards to address design issues, new graphics to clearly illustrate standards and guidelines, and shall be tailored to various contexts within downtown.
