Dog of the Week: Sasha (48827025)
Sasha has been at the shelter since October 7, 2021, with no adoption interest. We don't know why she's been at the shelter for almost a year because she's a superstar! Sasha is very playful, treat motivated, and loves affection. She's a 2-year-old Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who greets everyone with a beautiful smile. Sasha says she's too good for apartments and would love a furever home with a yard and secure fence where she can take naps in the sun and have a bunch of space to run and play. Sasha enjoys going on long walks but will need an adopter who can handle her strength since she does pull on leash. This sweet girl needs a home with no other pets and will require some basic training so she can be the best companion ever! She also prefers stuffed, squeaky toys and will carry the toy in her mouth; how cute?!
Cat of the Week: Chelsea (50315569)
Chelsea is a shy girl who is looking for an adopter that will give her time to get used to her new home and be patient as she learns to trust people. She's only a year old, so she has plenty of time to learn that humans aren't so scary. Chelsea loves getting head scratches and will never turn down a Squeeze-Ups treat! Plus, she's only 7 pounds, making her the perfect cuddle buddy. Come meet her today!
Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter. All ready-to-go pets, defined as cats and dogs that have already been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, are $22 until further notice. This special price includes spay/neuter, vet exam, vaccinations and a microchip.
