[ARCHIVED] Pets of the Week

Pets of the Week

Pets of the Week:

Ebaneezer (50694292)

Ebaneezer is a 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix that weighs approximately 45 lbs. He has had great interactions with other dogs both at the shelter and in his foster home. His foster home says that Ebaneezer is a bit of a blanket hog and curious by nature. He is motivated by treats, knows how to sit, and adores stuffed toys. This silly pup also loves the pool and enjoys lounging in a kiddie pool on hot summer days. Ebaneezer is back at the shelter and can’t wait to find his forever home!

Best Boy Brows (52613900)

Best Boy Brows is a 4-year-old Black-Mouth Curr mix that likes to think he is a lap dog. When out in the play yards with staff and volunteers, he would much rather be sitting in your lap getting pets than playing. He is great on a leash and is low energy, but he loves to be with his people and has had good interactions with other dogs. This sweet boy would appreciate nothing more than to be by your side, whether that's watching a movie, going on leisurely walks, or whatever else you may have in mind. He is currently heartworm positive and looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home where he can relax and complete his treatment. Heartworm treatment is covered by the shelter.

Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter. All ready-to-go pets are $22 and include spay/neuter, vet exam, vaccinations, and a microchip. To meet the pets, visit the San Marcos Regional Animal in person from noon – 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays, or online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/adopt to choose a pet and fill out an online adoption application. Then, give the shelter a call at 512.805.2650 or email animaladoptions@sanmarcostx.gov. Anyone interested in fostering a pet should email foster@sanmarcostx.gov or visit www.sanmarcostx.gov/foster to fill out a foster application. Follow the shelter on Facebook @SanMarcosAnimalShelter and on Instagram @smtxanimalshelter for content and updates throughout the week.
