Police in Mississippi have arrested a third man accused in the murder of Matthew Jacob Rodriguez, Jr. in San Marcos last week.
Adrian Terrell Rose, (11/11/93) was arrested Monday in Jackson, Miss. in a joint operation involving San Marcos Police, Texas Rangers, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Marshals. He awaits extradition to Hays County.
Two other men were arrested Aug. 16 in Round Rock in connection with the murder: brothers Jacob Portier (DOB 5/21/1991) and Jason Portier (DOB 8/3/1992) of Round Rock.
Police found Rodriguez fatally shot in the parking lot of Park North Condos on the 1600 block of Aquarena Springs Drive at 2:24 a.m. Tuesday, Aug.14 while responding to a call from a concerned citizen.
Rodriguez had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was declared deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Maggie Moreno. He was transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy.
All three suspects face charges of capital murder by terror threat. Bond for Jacob and Jason Portier is set at $75,000.
