The San Marcos Police Department has reported that Richard Blythe (dob 6.19.1999) was arrested in Killeen on Monday, February 4 by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and is now in custody for charges of injury to a child/serious bodily injury.
An arrest warrant was issued for Blythe on January 18 after a medical evaluation on his 9-month-old child showed the infant had skull fractures, broken ribs, and several liver lacerations. The warrant was issued after two months of investigation and interviews with the child’s mother, Child Protective Services and doctors at Dell Children’s hospital.
Blythe had been scheduled to turn himself in to law enforcement when he fled the area. He should be transported back to Hays County within the next few weeks.
