As part of their 5th annual Steps Forward Day, the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) helped to beautify Downtown San Marcos on Friday, Apr. 5, by providing the volunteers and funding to landscape flowerbeds and remove over 100 unwanted stickers and graffiti.
“This was LCRA’s second year to perform this hard and valuable work in San Marcos and their efforts are greatly appreciated,” said Josie Falletta, Interim Main Street Manager.
The mission of Steps Forward Day is to give back to customers by undertaking projects that help their communities. The LCRA awarded San Marcos the funding and volunteers for these beautification efforts alongside 25 other communities around Texas.
This project was also made possible through additional funding from Keep San Marcos Beautiful and a Gardenville materials grant from Texas Disposal Systems.
