    Trained volunteers from AARP prepare individual tax returns for free at the library. No appointment is necessary; first come, first served. Bring all tax-related documents, including last year’s tax return, social security cards for all dependents, and a photo ID. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Only the first 40 people will be assisted per day.

  11. From Monet to Van Gogh: A History of Impressionism

    We begin the new year examining one of the most admired styles within the history of art: Impressionism. A new six-week course will look into the beginnings of the movement, which was based in France in the late nineteenth century. Linking contemporary events, philosophies, and ideas, Impressionism launched the birth of modernity and the way we see the world. We will study famous Impressionist artists such as Monet, Renoir, Gaugin, Van Gogh, and more. Brought to you by LifeLong Learning San Marcos, and presented by Becky Duval Reese.
