ONLINE/IN-PERSON MEETING PROCEDURES FOR CITIZEN COMMENTS AND PUBLIC HEARINGS

The City of San Marcos offers various ways for citizens to “attend” public meetings and offer comments: online and in-person.

Citizen comment:
Persons wishing to “speak” during the citizen comment period of a public meeting may do so by one of the methods below:

  • Send written comments which will be submitted to Council for their review; or
  • Request a link (or call-in number) to join in the citizen comment portion of the virtual meeting; or
  • Sign up to speak in person

Citizens wishing to speak during citizen comment must email citizencomment@sanmarcostx.gov beginning the day prior to the meeting until 12:00pm the day of the meeting. All persons that register for the online option will receive a confirmation email with a link and call in number to participate remotely. YOU MAY PARTICIPATE BY PHONE, by calling in to the number provided. A computer is not required.

All persons that register to speak in person will be provided a confirmation email with the order in which you are signed up to speak.

Citizen Comment is limited to the first 10 sign-ups
