The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department, San Marcos Public Library, and Community Action, Inc. are partnering to bring you Tales on the Trails. Each month will feature a different story that you can follow along with as you explore our beautiful parks and natural areas. The February 2021 Tales on the Trails will be set up at Upper Purgatory Creek and will feature "Back of the Bus" by Aaron Reynolds. You and your family are invited to take a self-guided tour along the 0.7 mile Styx Trail at Upper Purgatory, located at 1753 Valencia Way. Don't forget to take a photo during your visit and submit to cmarler@sanmarcostx.gov by March 1 to be entered into a drawing for a prize! Please show respect when enjoying our programs and beautiful natural areas by not removing or destroying items along the trail system.
