[ARCHIVED] San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter ‘Pets of the Week’

Cat of the Week: Mystique

Not interested in the concerns of ordinary folk, Mystique is the definition of a true diva. This 3-year-old dilute calico wants nothing more than a life of comfort and luxury. She enjoys being held and pet, but doesn’t need a lot of toys or treats to keep her happy. Mystique just likes to hang out and relax. Mystique would be great in an only-cat household so she can have her people all to herself, and would do best in a laid-back environment.

Dog of the Week: Dontae

Dontae is without a doubt the happiest, floppiest, most affectionate pup you’ll ever meet! This 6-month-old Rottweiler/Labrador mix is so excited to meet new people, and instantly gets along with everyone he meets. Dontae adores playtime and cuddles, and loves being silly and wiggly. Dontae is going to grow into a medium- to large-sized dog, and would do well in any high-energy, fun-loving family.

The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is hosting their $1 Adoption Special for the entire month of October. All dogs and cats are adoptable for only $1. All adoptions include the pet’s spay or neuter, kennel vaccinations, rabies vaccination, microchip and city license. For more information, visit www.sanmarcostx.gov/animaladoptions or contact Animal Services at 512.805.2650.
