Early voting is underway for the Nov. 6 local, state and federal elections.
Polling places for early voting in San Marcos include:
Hays County Government Center, 712 S. Stagecoach Trail: Monday, Oct. 22 – Friday, Nov. 2, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with the following exceptions: Saturday, Oct. 27, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 28, 1 – 6 p.m. Extended hours will be observed from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 – Friday, Nov. 2.
Texas State University LBJ Student Center, 700 Student Center Drive: Monday, Oct. 22 – Wednesday, Oct. 24, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Live Oak/Health Department, 401 Broadway St.: Monday, Oct. 22 – Wednesday, Oct. 24, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Election Day
Election Day will be Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Polling locations can be found online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/elections.
The Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS) will provide free rides to polling places on Election Day. People riding the BUS in San Marcos to their polling place can show the driver their voter registration cards and have their bus fares waived.
