[ARCHIVED] City to Begin Field Work for My Historic SMTX Survey

The City will begin taking inventory of historic-age properties in neighborhoods throughout San Marcos next week as part of the My Historic SMTX survey.

Historians will be visiting neighborhoods within Phase 1 of the historic resources survey boundary Nov. 12-16, Nov. 19, and Nov. 26-30.

The City is conducting the survey to identify and document historic-age resources (50 years of age and older) and develop recommendations to help officials make decisions about historic resources for future planning and development initiatives.

Phase 2 of the survey is set to begin in February 2019.
