The San Marcos Main Street Program is hosting the Cottage Kitchen Luncheon on Friday, Feb. 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Charles S. Cock House Museum located on 400 E. Hopkins St.

The public is invited to get comfortable in period furniture, take in the history of the building, and enjoy a homemade meal alongside fellow neighbors and friends. Meal tickets are sold at the door for $8 and include the full entrée, tea, side salad, and dessert. Guests will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win free prizes and Downtown San Marcos branded items.

The Main Street Advisory board and volunteers are preparing and serving guests chili, cornbread, salad and a variety of homemade desserts. There will also be vegan chili provided by downtown business, Binge Kitchen.

“We love participating in this longstanding tradition, because it gives our community the opportunity to eat and chat with each other, enjoy delicious warm food and talk about all of the wonderful things happening downtown,” said Interim Main Street Manager Josie Falletta.

The Heritage Association of San Marcos opens the museum on Fridays for various organizations to host Cottage Kitchen with all proceeds benefitting the Heritage Association’s preservation efforts.
