Live Music: Its Health Benefits and the Science Behind it

Join us for three piano performances and a discussion of the neuroscience and psychology behind music and its health benefits. Emphasis will be placed on active listening to promote personal stress relief. Brought to you by LifeLong Learning San Marcos, and presented by Walt Pilcher.

AARP Smart Driver

Registration Required

This course is designed for drivers age 50 and older as a refresher for driving skills and road knowledge. Instruction includes proper use of new technology in cars, techniques for handling turns, and state-specific rules of the road. Cost for textbook is $15 for AARP members, $20 for non-members. Family Movie Night

Monday, May 13

6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Join us for a fun-filled, all-ages movie night as we watch a family friendly movie and enjoy free

popcorn. In this film, 10-year-old Richard Tyler enters a library to escape a storm, only to be transformed into an animated illustration. He has to work through obstacles from classic books to return to real life.

Gain confidence, balance, and strength to keep your independence and be safe at home. Learn

practical tips for staying on your feet and being healthy in this introductory session to prevent falls. Presented by Camille Phillips.

Teen Anime Club

6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

If you love anime, manga, or Japanese pop culture, come join us for a fun time watching anime films. Socialize, meet new friends, and discuss your favorite series. Light refreshments provided. Ages 12-17.
