Bobcats Give Back is Back in 2021
Bobcats Give Back is a 5-week program happening July 5th through August 6th primarily focused on Texas State student off-campus apartments. Annually, during "The Turn," thousands of pounds of material are thrown into trash dumpsters and roll-offs. In an effort to reduce the amount of good, usable materials going into the landfill, the city of San Marcos will provide participating complexes with 5 bins for materials, to include: clothing, electronics, food, household goods, and luggage. This material is distributed to local non-profits and reuse businesses (Goodwill, Green Guy Recycling, Habitat Restore, Hays County Food Bank, Hays-Caldwell Women's Center, Redwood Community Center, San Marcos Animal Shelter, Southside Community Center, the Texas State School of Social Work, and San Marcos CISD). Apartment complexes participating this year are the following: Aspire, Bishops Square, Copper Beech Townhomes, Elevation on Post, Hillside Ranch Apartments & Cottages, Sanctuary Lofts, The Heights, The Outpost, Treehouse, Uptown Square, Vie Lofts, Vintage Pads, and Westfield.
