Historical Facts:
Eddie Durham was born on August 19, 1906. He was a local San Marcos resident and pioneer of the electric guitar in jazz music. He was also a trombonist, composer, and arranger for the orchestras of Bennie Moten, Jimmie Lunceford, and Count Basie. He died on March 6, 1987.
